What Inspired to start Giving hands Uganda

My name is Cissy Kabazi. The Founder of Giving Hands Uganda
As a child I grew up seeing my father inviting so many children at home and we could share whatever we had with children in the community.
As I grew up, I knew I should raise hand to the children who are in need.
Around 2001 was still at school but I would save my little money plus my sisters and Daddy to help the children to buy them books, over the weekend we would prepare edibles together. I have held many Charity Drives, all aiming at improving children’s and women’s lives.
I would visit hospitals especially to mothers who had gone into C-Section and support them with pampers, detergents, soap and others just as the Lord would provide for me. My family, friends and other well wishers have been of great help unto me achieving this goal.
Around 2019 in the month of march, I had gone to District of Luwero in Uganda, and I was moving from a hotel where I had slept heading to a place where we had a workshop, that day I moved didn’t use any transport means, on my way I met 7 children walking to school very happy at around 7:30am, something caught my eyes out of these 7 children, there was this little smiling , happy boy who was walking with these other children, he had no shoes, no school bag, no stockings, with a torn short I looked at him once, twice n then I moved to them n called him out, I asked him which class he was in n and which school.
During break I went to the school with the pair of shoes, stockings and the bag for the boy, and he was so happy
There are so many stories, many experiences that triggered me to begin this organization.
There are many children out there , waiting for someone to left for them, they yearn to go to school but cant afford.

Here is where all of us MUST Raise a Hand for these children and vulnerable communities around Uganda
